Bradley's rule, and a lot of small shops share it: do not carry a subscription for a tool you use twice in a slow month. Roofing volume is seasonal and storm-driven; a plan priced for your busiest month is expensive for eleven others. So this ranking is only the tools you can use pay-per-report, with no monthly plan required.

Sketch My Roof is #1: a flat published menu ($19 to $29), same day, no subscription, no minimums, and it happens to be the one that also opens in Xactimate®. GAF QuickMeasure at $18 to $20 per parcel with no plan is the speed option. EagleView needs no subscription either, at a wider price range. RoofSnap earns a spot for its pay-as-you-go door from $13. Tools that only exist as a monthly plan (iRoofing, RoofScope plans, Roofr's paid tiers) are not on this list, by definition, not by judgment.
