What should a roof report cost a contractor?
Somewhere between $13 and $87 for a done-for-you report, or a monthly plan for unlimited DIY. That range is useless without the math behind it, so here is every published number on one table and what it means for a shop that runs retail and insurance jobs.

Flat per-report vs a plan
The single most useful question is how many reports you order in your slowest month. If it is four, a $107 to $149 plan is $27 to $37 per report and a flat $19 to $29 report wins easily. If it is forty every month, the plan tools' per-report cost drops to a few dollars and unlimited DIY starts to make sense. Roofing volume is seasonal and storm-driven for most shops, which is why the flat-price tools score well on our cost factor.
What the price should buy on the insurance side
If half your work is claims, the report has to arrive as an ESX the estimating platform opens, and a PDF for the file. Sketch My Roof includes ESX at the base price ($19) with the PDF at $25 or $29 bundled; EagleView delivers ESX via integration across its tiers; RoofScope's ESX is an add-on on top of a plan. A cheap report that does not open in Xactimate® is not cheap on a claim.
What the price should buy on the retail side
If you sell at the kitchen table, the report is the first step of a proposal, and Roofr's free CRM and proposal builder change the math: $13 to $19 buys the whole sales stack. GAF QuickMeasure's under-an-hour guarantee buys speed for the same-visit bid. Weight those against a plain report accordingly.
