What an ESX is and why it beats a PDF
ESX is the file format Xactimate® uses. When a roof arrives as an ESX, you import it and the roof sketch and measurements are in the estimate: facets, pitches, lengths, the whole thing, ready for line items. When a roof arrives as a PDF, somebody has to sit down and redraw it in Xactimate®, which on a cut-up hip roof is a half hour of work that adds nothing but the chance to fat-finger a dimension.
That is the whole reason this page exists. If you write in Xactimate®, the format is the feature. A cheap PDF is not cheap once you count the redraw.
