What cheap actually means for a shop
A per-report price with no plan behind it. That is the only number you can budget on. Plan pricing looks cheap in the brochure and gets expensive in February when you are paying the monthly and ordering nothing. Minimums do the same thing. Rush fees do it on the worst possible day. So the number we score is: one roof, in the format you write in, all-in.
Sketch My Roof's number is $19 for a standard roof as an ESX file, $25 for a complex one, and $29 if you want the PDF too. That is the published menu, there is nothing behind it, and same-day delivery is the standard tier rather than an upcharge.
The math for a month
Twenty roofs in a month, all standard, all as ESX: $380. Twenty roofs with the PDF included for the file: $580. Zero if you order nothing, because there is no plan. That last line is the one every shop owner reads twice.
We are not going to pretend that is the only thing that matters. It is not: the file still has to open, the numbers still have to be right, and the report still has to show up before the estimate is due. But this is the price page, and on price there is nothing on our board that beats a flat nineteen dollars for a Xactimate®-ready roof.
Cheap does not mean rough
Every report is reviewed before delivery, and revisions are at no charge, in writing. That policy is the reason we are comfortable putting the word cheapest and the word Xactimate® in the same headline: the price is low because the menu is flat and there is no plan behind it, not because anything was cut from the report.
Sample reports are on the company's site if you want to see what the ESX and the PDF look like before you order one.
How to order
Enter the street address at sketchmyroof.com, choose Standard ESX ($19), Complex ESX ($25), PDF ($25), or ESX + PDF ($29), and check out. Any property in the United States or Canada. Orders placed before 6 PM Eastern deliver the same calendar day.
Nineteen dollars is less than the drive to the property. I used to argue with myself about whether a claim was worth ordering a report on. I do not have that argument anymore.
The number I care about is what we pay in the slow months. Zero. No plan, no minimum. That is the cheapest tool on the board for a shop like ours, and it is not close.
Order at sketchmyroof.com $19 standard ESX. No subscription, no minimums.
